Scott Richards Grows The Team
We have always been committed to growing and strengthening the team that strives to deliver excellent service to our clients across our wide range of services. Sometimes this comes from growing talent from within, sometimes from bringing in gifted newcomers. And sometimes, as is the case now, by doing both.

Kirsty Foot joined Scott Richards in 2014. This has been a landmark year for Kirsty both personally and professionally: she married in July and is now known as Kirsty Dare. Having already gained one legal qualification whilst at the firm, Kirsty has worked tirelessly to cross qualify as a Solicitor. Jamie Dyson, Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kirsty to her new role at the firm. Kirsty’s technical knowledge of the law is first-rate. As importantly, her personality and non-judgmental approach makes clients feel at ease during an often-difficult time in their lives. I have no doubt that Kirsty will further enhance the excellent personal service offered by our Disputes team to all of our clients.”
Roger Williams has joined the Property Department in the role of Consultant. Roger was admitted as a Solicitor in 1972, after graduating from Oxford University. He has a total of over 40 years legal experience, mainly in Devon firms, most recently in Exeter and Paignton. After a spell in his own practice, he merged with a large Exeter firm, of which he was a Partner for over 20 years. Roger specialises in property and commercial transactions. His knowledge and experience coupled with a no-nonsense approach help him to deliver the very best result for his clients.
Leila Jones joined the firm in September in the role of Trainee Solicitor. Leila graduated from Plymouth University in 2014 with an LLB (Hons) degree in Law. She went on to complete the Legal Practice course and Master of Law (LLM) degree at University of Law in 2017. Leila is currently working within the Commercial Property Department under the guidance of Senior Partner Paul Dyson. She will then move on to other departments across the firm, working towards qualifying as a Solicitor.
Jo Grasse also joined the firm in September 2018, in the role of Client Liaison. Her role is to help deliver an excellent service to our clients. Jo has lived in the Torbay area all her life. After envisaging a career in travel and tourism, Jo qualified as cert RBCB which relates to an examination for Retail Banking Conduct of Business. Jo has spent the last 18 years working as a senior banking consultant, focusing on delivering a high level of customer service. Her role was to identify customer needs and meet them in the most appropriate way for that individual, whether this was directly herself or by referral to the most relevant person. Jo will be bringing that experience to bear in her new role.
Jamie Dyson, Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to recognise the contribution that Kirsty has already made to the firm by welcoming her in her new role as Solicitor. Roger, Leila and Jo, with their knowledge and experience, together with their sensitive and pragmatic approach, will help us grow the firm and ensure we continue to deliver an excellent service to our clients, both now and in the future.”
